We are sure it will come as no surprise to learn that we have had to cancel a number of meetings due to the coronavirus outbreak. Sadly we do not yet know when we will be able to meet again. We are so sorry not to be seeing everyone, especially at this wonderful time of year whilst we are surrounded with new growth and spring flowers.
Love, thoughts and our very best wishes go to all of you who may be having to separate from friends and families as a result of the lockdown. It is hard to be apart from our loved ones, and we do hope that you are keeping well. If you know of a Member who is unwell at this time, please do let us know as we would like to keep in touch with them.
Whilst we are unable to hold meetings, we are planning to share more inspiring information and tips over on our Facebook page, so please do take a look to see what we have found. Click here to visit our page: Facebook.com/SevenoaksFlowerClub
Keeping busy during lockdown
If you have been getting creative during lockdown, please do share your work with us! We would love to see what you have made. Perhaps you have arranged flowers from your own garden, dusted off the sewing machine and made some face masks, revisited old skills like baking or painting, or turned your hand to something completely new? We would love to know. Please email any photos to us, they will be sure to brighten up our day! Just click here to send us a photo:
We’ll get the ball rolling with this cake, baked by Alice, who helps update our website. Alice admits that she is not much of a baker and usually buys ready-made cakes from the supermarket, but was very pleased with how this Victoria sponge turned out!
Until our next blog, take care and stay safe. We are looking forward to seeing you all again when lockdown is over.
