The club was set up in 1953 by those enthused with a love of flowers, garden plants and floral design. In that year Constance Spry visited, giving members a slide show. Quite something in those days!
In 2018 we celebrated our 65th 'Blue Sapphire' Anniversary with a lunch and speeches.

In past years the club has staged flower festivals at Knole House, Leeds Castle and Hever Castle, as well as many other venues and over the years has won 15 Chelsea flower show medals.
We are the oldest flower club in Kent and members' dedication has made the club flourish.
We are affiliated to the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies (NAFAS) and the Kent Area of NAFAS, who provide training for demonstrators, judges, speakers and teachers thereby supporting clubs in their activities.
We meet on the second Tuesday of every month except January and August. As you will see from our programme, we have either a demonstration, a workshop or a speaker, as well as other outings and social gatherings.
Visitors are most welcome, so do please come and join us for an interesting afternoon at Otford Village Hall.
Where to find us...
We meet at Otford Village Hall, which has great facilities, regular public transport and ample parking.
